Two more charged in fatal Frogtown shooting
Two men were charged Thursday in connection with a July 18 fatal shooting near Edmund Avenue West and North Kent Street in St. Paul's Frogtown neighborhood.[1]
Prosecutors charged Treeheem Smith, 29, with aiding an offender after he allegedly helped conceal evidence.[1] They charged Anthony Rivera, 28, with ineligible possession of a firearm or ammunition after he was allegedly seen firing a handgun on video.[1]
Smith has a prior first-degree assault felony, and Rivera has a prior felony conviction for threats of violence.[1]
The shooting on July 18 near Edmund Avenue West and North Kent Street left Da'Voncea L. Griffo with life-threatening injuries.[1] Griffo died while being transported to a hospital, and a second victim survived a gunshot wound.[1]
Christopher Burke-Harris, 37, of Woodbury, previously was charged with second-degree murder in the case.[1]
