Mexican Border Councilwoman Wounded, Husband Killed In Tecate Ambush

Tecate councilwoman Maria de Jesus Quijada was wounded and her husband was killed when gunmen ambushed their car on Tuesday afternoon, July 14, 2026, near the U.S. border.[1]
