Flight Attendant Killed Off Florida Beach In Suspected Boat Strike

Kellie Melinda Williams, 31, was found dead in the surf near Hollywood Beach, Florida, around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, and investigators say her injuries are consistent with a vessel strike.[1]

The medical examiner listed blunt force injuries as the cause of death.[1] Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says Williams had been snorkeling or diving near Dr. Von D Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park earlier that day and is investigating the incident with Hollywood police.[1] No information has been released about the boat involved or any identified suspects.[1]

Williams worked as an American Airlines flight attendant, and she had been in the water near the busy tourist area earlier the same day, officials said.[1]

Florida Fish and Wildlife and Hollywood police continue to investigate the suspected boat strike but have not announced any vessel identifications or arrests as the probe remains active.[1]
