Indianapolis Police Arrest 14-Year-Old In Fatal Parking Garage Shooting

Indianapolis police on Wednesday arrested a 14-year-old in the fatal parking-garage shooting of 23-year-old Brett Scrogham, who was shot May 28 and died May 30.[1]

Police arrested the teen on June 3 but have not released the suspect's name.[1] Under Indiana law, any decision to charge the teen as an adult would require a waiver of juvenile jurisdiction.

On May 28, Scrogham, a 23-year-old business school graduate, was shot in his car in a downtown Indianapolis parking garage while on his way to a ballgame; he died at a hospital on May 30.[1]

Police said the investigation is ongoing and offered no immediate details on a motive or possible additional suspects.[1]
