Maplewood hit-and-run critically injures pedestrian

A 37-year-old man was critically injured after being struck by a fleeing vehicle around 9:14 p.m. Saturday, May 30, near Rice Street and McCarrons Boulevard in Maplewood, police said.[1]

The man remains in critical condition at Regions Hospital.[1] Witnesses told officers they saw a dark-colored pickup truck heading north on Rice Street that struck the man and fled the scene.[1]

Surveillance video reviewed by police shows the suspected vehicle at the Cub Foods at 100 County Road B West, with the driver entering the store and leaving about 9:28 p.m.[1]

The driver remains at large.[1] Maplewood police are asking anyone with information to contact Lt. Michael Hoemke.[1]
