Nvidia Unveils RTX Spark AI Superchip To Power New Windows PCs

Nvidia unveiled the RTX Spark AI superchip on June 1, 2026, at its GTC event in Taipei to power Windows laptops and desktops with on-device advanced AI capabilities.[1]

RTX Spark combines CPU and GPU functions and is built to run advanced AI agents locally on Windows PCs, Nvidia said.[1] Nvidia expects AI PCs from partners including Microsoft and Dell to reach consumers in fall 2026.[1] Microsoft said these machines will support "highly capable AI models" and complex workloads on-device.[1]

Nvidia also said its Vera data-center CPUs are now in full production and that early AI customers include Anthropic and OpenAI.[1] The company has shifted from selling mostly cloud GPUs to developing chips that can run powerful AI locally, aiming to speed tasks and cut dependence on remote servers.

If manufacturers deliver, the Spark push could change how Windows apps are built and where sensitive data is processed, while intensifying competition among chipmakers for consumer AI.
