Man shot during Eid prayer at Canterbury Park Expo

Shakopee police say they responded around 9:55 a.m. Wednesday to a reported shooting at the Canterbury Park Expo Center, where a 26-year-old man was shot during an Eid al-Adha prayer service.[1]

Officers found the man shot multiple times and transported him to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment.[1] Police have not disclosed his condition or the circumstances leading to the shooting and are asking anyone with information to call 952-445-1411.[1]

The Samaha Islamic Center appears to have been holding the Eid al-Adha prayer at the Expo Center when the shooting occurred.[1]
