Parolee And Registered Sex Offender Charged In Fresno City Attorney Home Scare

Larry Orduna Torrez, 56, a parolee and registered sex offender, was arrested and charged after an attempted home invasion at Fresno City Attorney Andrew Janz's house early Sunday, May 17, 2026.[1]

Surveillance video shows a knife-wielding man in black gloves ring the doorbell and jump a backyard fence before deputies intervened and took Torrez into custody.[1] Torrez was booked May 17 into Fresno County jail with a parole hold and $30,000 bail on a felony attempted burglary charge, and faces counts of trespassing and threatening a public official.[1]
