MPS middle school employee charged in prostitution sting

Hennepin County prosecutors have charged Todd James Wallace, 48, of Shoreview with promoting the prostitution of another after a Minnesota Human Trafficking Investigator's Task Force sting tied him to online sex ads for at least two women in Minneapolis. Between February and April 2026, undercover agents responded to Adultlook.com ads for "Willow" and "Cheyenne," were directed to a Minneapolis residence, and then received threatening texts demanding $50 "cancellation fees," with one message linked to a Venmo account under the username "@Todd-wallace-88," according to the complaint. When task force agents served a search warrant at the residence, one victim allegedly identified Wallace as the person who created the ads, handled client communication, and paid her 50% of sex-act fees, and said another victim had a similar arrangement. Investigators later found a Craigslist sex ad whose poster identified himself as "James," and when Wallace was arrested, authorities learned he is employed by Anderson United Middle School in Minneapolis Public Schools. MPS confirmed to FOX 9 that as of May 4, 2026, Wallace remained an employee but declined further comment, and Wallace is being held with a hearing set for May 28, 2026, while the task force continues its broader trafficking investigation.
