Two charged in 2025 Lake Street murder, teen shooting

Trevon Harris and Deangelo Martez Davenport were charged Thursday with murder in a Sept. 14, 2025, shooting near East Lake Street and 15th Avenue South in Minneapolis. Harris, 28, is jailed on unrelated gun charges; Davenport, 50, has not been apprehended.

The Fox 9 Minneapolis-St. Paul report said the adult victim died after a gunshot severed his femoral artery. A juvenile male suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the same attack.

The episode traces back to about 1:45 a.m. on Sept. 14, 2025, when investigators say Harris and Davenport confronted the victims while enforcing a drug-sales territory. Authorities say the victims were involved in their own narcotics sales.

Surveillance and social-media images of a "NO RISK NO REWARD" sweatshirt, together with phone records, were key evidence tying Harris to the scene. Prosecutors filed murder charges against both men, and police continue to seek Davenport while Harris remains jailed on the separate gun case.
