Bloomington au pair charged with abusing infant on camera

Bloomington police arrested 29-year-old au pair Belky Lilibeth Acosta-Olmedo after surveillance video in a family's home allegedly showed her roughly handling and striking a 5-month-old child over two days in early March. According to Hennepin County charges, the child's father reviewed in-home cameras after noticing unusual behavior from his 2-year-old and then saw Acosta-Olmedo dropping the infant onto a mat, forcefully holding a pacifier in the baby's mouth, covering and pushing the child's face, and repeatedly smacking the infant's back when it cried.
