Plymouth officer shoots armed man after disturbance

Plymouth police say an officer shot an armed man around 4:37 a.m. Tuesday after responding to a domestic disturbance on the 6100 block of Quinwood Lane North. The man, reportedly knocking on a window and armed with a handgun, was confronted in a parking lot, shot, and then given first aid before being taken to North Memorial in stable condition; the officer was uninjured and placed on critical incident leave as the Minnesota BCA leads the investigation.
