Wisconsin police warn of organized burglary ring

The Mequon Police Department says a recent wave of high‑end home burglaries across southeastern Wisconsin bears hallmarks of South American theft groups and has prompted a regional, multi‑agency response. MPD hosted a Nov. 12 intelligence‑sharing meeting and is working with the Wisconsin Department of Justice and the state crime lab to process evidence, citing a consistent MO of masked suspects entering from wooded backyards and targeting jewelry, designer handbags, watches, and cash.
