Ex-Lakeville dance teacher sentenced for assault
Dakota County Judge Krista Marks sentenced former Lakeville dance instructor Timothy Mark Olson Jr., 36, to 60 days in jail and seven years’ probation on Oct. 29, 2025, after he pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sexual conduct for repeatedly assaulting a teen student in 2022 at his Lakeville home. The case began after the victim reported in November 2023 that Olson contacted her via Instagram and assaulted her approximately five to eight times while she was under 18; the sentence includes a stay of imposition, meaning the felony can be reduced to a misdemeanor upon successful completion of probation.
