St. Paul schools seek $1,073-per-pupil levy

St. Paul voters on Nov. 4 will decide an SPPS operating levy to increase general education revenue by $1,073 per pupil for 10 years, first levied in 2025 for taxes payable in 2026 and indexed to inflation. The measure would raise about $37.2 million annually and cost a median St. Paul homeowner about $309 per year; it would add to, not replace, the 2018 levy, while the school board separately approved a 1.98% lower district levy for taxes payable in 2026.
