Olympic Charter

The International Olympic Committee's position is that all eligible athletes, teams, and sports officials must be able to participate in international sports competitions and events without discrimination by the host country, in accordance with the Olympic Charter's principles of nondiscrimination, autonomy, and political neutrality.

The Olympic Charter of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) establishes that sport should be separate from politics and that athletes have an equal right to participate in sporting events.
